Its larger granule size makes it suitable for standalone use as an accent against a more even-toned base substrate, or for mixing with finer grains like UNS Controsand Bora to add texture and dimension. This substrate also pairs beautifully with vibrantly colored plants and livestock.

Whether you're new to aquascaping or an experienced hobbyist, Controsand is easy to use. Simply rinse gently to remove finer grains, then distribute the gravel in your tank for a natural, coastal-inspired accent.
